Off-the-job training refers to learning completed during paid working hours that develops the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required by the apprenticeship standard. This can include workshops, online learning, shadowing, mentoring, or project work.

Can I choose who manages the apprentice internally?

Are apprentices employed by us or by you?

Apprentices are employed directly by your business and included in your workforce like any other employee.

What happens at the end of the apprenticeship?

At the end of their programme, apprentices complete an independent End-Point Assessment (EPA). Upon successful completion, they achieve their qualification and often progress into permanent roles within the organisation.

Can apprentices progress to higher levels?

Yes. Many apprentices move from intermediate to advanced or leadership-level programmes, creating clear career pathways within your business.
